R v. Wong [2004] - One of the few known successful directed verdict murder acquittals. Following Mr. O’Connor’s motion at the close of the Crown’s case, the Judge would not even allow the jury to consider Mr. Wong's guilt due to the complete lack of evidence on which guilt could be found. After more than two years in custody Anthony Wong was freed and is now involved in a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the police and Crown’s office based on this prosecution.  Counsel: Liam O'Connor
