Leslie Maunder graduated from Mount Allison University in 1987 with a B.A. Hons. in Philosophy, and from the University of British Columbia Law School in 1995. Leslie articled with Frank Addario and Melvyn Green at Ruby & Edwardh and then ran her own practice until joining Pinkofskys in 2001.
Leslie is an associate and the senior appeal lawyer at Pinkofskys. She has appeared at all levels of Court including the Supreme Court of Canada, and conducted all kinds of criminal appeals from driving offences to murders. Leslie is one of a small number of criminal appeal lawyers who serve as duty counsel (on a pro bono basis) before the Court of Appeal assisting unrepresented inmates with their appeals. Leslie is also a member of the Toronto Area Committee of Ontario Legal Aid, and an instructor for the Criminal Section of the Bar Admission Course of the Law Society. Since 2001, Leslie has served as the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Council of Elizabeth Fry Societies of Ontario.
