Jason Dossantos

Jason Dos Santos obtained his Honours Bachelor
of Arts (B.A. Hons.) from York University and
his Bachelor of Laws from the University of
Windsor Faculty of Law. While at Law School
Jason was a competitor in the Zuber Moot
Competition at Windsor Law and was selected to
compete in the national Laskin Moot Competition.
In his last year of Law School he was also the
Coach of the Windsor delegation in the Matthews
Dinsdale Clark Labour Moot. While in Law School
Jason was a Board Member of the Civil Liberties
Association of Windsor, a Staff then Book Review
Editor of the Windsor Review of Legal and Social
Issues and the Editor-in Chief of the Oyez.
Jason has successfully defended cases ranging
from First Degree Murder and Conspiracy to
Commit Murder to Participation in a Criminal
Organisation, Robbery and Drug Trafficking to
Domestic Assault, Thefts and Impaired Driving.
Jason has a particular interest in defending
cases involving arbitrary police detention and
arrest, illegitimate searches and wiretaps and
police brutality. Jason is a fearless defender,
always ready to take on the most difficult cases
and achieve the best results for his clients.
Born and raised in the west end of Toronto Jason
speaks and writes fluent Portuguese. He has
appeared as a Legal Expert in that language on
television, radio as well as print media. Jason
is also a Board Member and the Advocacy Chair of
the Portuguese Canadian Lawyers Association.
